Msgr. Laurence Spiteri is a priest of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, California, and serves as Prelate Auditor of the Roman Rota at the Vatican and Commissioner of ratum-non-consumatum cases. He holds doctorates in biblical studies, psychology, and canon law, and a specialization in international law regarding the Church-state relationship. He serves as the official in charge of the Legal Office of the Vatican Apostolic Library, a voting member of the Historical Commission of the Dicastery of the Causes of Saints, an ad hoc judge at the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, a consultant to various Roman dicasteries and religious communities, and CEO of the Sanctuary of Culture Foundation, of the Treasures of History Foundation, and of the St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Foundation. He is a former Associate Director and Judge at the Metropolitan Tribunal of Los Angeles, Judge at the Tribunal of Las Vegas, assistant at the Apostolic Signatura, instructor in canonical procedures, and visiting professor of Sacred Scripture, Church History, History of Medieval Philosophy, and Catholic Theology in various academic institutions.
